Yorkshire Halal Meat Suppliers is a privately owned company which was originally founded in 1984 by Ali Shan. The Company still follow the original philosophy of producing a quality product sourced from local farms.
The company has been on the present site at Ossett since 2001 with the abattoir being fully re-furbished in 2002 providing a modern hygienic slaughtering facility.
Yorkshire Halal Meat Suppliers are acknowledged as a consistent supplier of quality lamb carcasses and beef primals and whether being supplied to a local butcher or large scale processing operation all enjoy our customers benefit from total commitment to product quality, integrity and provision of best value and service.
Out team of experienced staff produce in excess of over 200,000 ewes and 150,000 lambs per annum week which are mainly sold in carcass form and distributed by our own fleet of 15 refrigerated vehicles.
The abattoir is licensed and carries the number UK 2430 EC. The Company are members of the Association of Independent Meat Suppliers (AIMS) and are working to established HACCP principles to ensure the quality legality of safety of the product is never compromised.
